Dominic Thiem must step up to win the next French Open
Thiem is so near and yet so far from winning his first slam. He had Djokovic befuddled in the 2020 Australian Open finals, only to come unraveling at the end. He is 7-4 and 4 of the last 6 against the Serbian. His game is well suited to oust Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal but he is yet to arrive mentally. Dominic Thiem must step up to win a slam or loose the window of opportunity to beat the Big Three in slam finals.
Thiem’s best shot at earning respect on the tour is to beat the Big Three in slam finals
Beating the Big Three in slam finals will earn him respect and, establish an element of fear, in the pro circuit. Dennis Shapovalov and Tsitsipas are very talented players, they will be unstoppable unless stopped now. Thiem must take out the Big Three in slam finals to earn Shapovalov’s and Tsitsipas’s respect. Winning a slam final will give Thiem the edge and experience of having won one. That edge, we believe, is priceless when facing another who hasn’t won before. And, Dominic must get that edge before Tsitsipas, Shapolvalov, or one of the other NextGen claims it.
Thiem’s best shot at a slam is the French Open
The French Open, we believe, is Dominic Thiem’s best shot at a slam. Rafael Nadal, however, stands on the way to glory at Roland Garros. Nadal has taken out Thiem twice in the finals and once in the semifinal of the French Open. And, Thiem barely won a set in the four meetings they have had at Roland Garros! Dominic has beaten Rafa on the clay at other events, but the French Open continues to elude. Dominic is a respectable 9-5 against the bull, but will he build that record into a winning spree at the French Open?
Domini Thiem must step up to take Rafa out at Roland Garros
The next French Open might be Thiem’s best shot at winning the French. Nadal is a beast on the clay at Roland Garros and it will not be easy, but Dominic Thiem must step up to take the bull by its horns.
